Service Policies 

Rates, Payments, Cancellation Schedules, Holidays

Security Deposits

In order to reserve pet care services, a security deposit for the full amount will be required at the time the reservation is made. Reservations are not held unless payment in full is received, or other arrangements are agreed upon in advance. For established clients, payment is due at the time
of service.

Rates & Payments

Final quote of fees will be determined at the Introductory meeting. Base rate starts at $30 per visit, however depending on mileage, accessibility of your home, number/type/temperament of pets, and complexity of services that go beyond usual pet sitter duties may incur a surcharge. Payment is due in full on or before the start of service. Checks, cash, VenMo and PayPal accepted. Returned checks will incur a $25 service charge. Reservations are made to plan sitter availability to clients, therefore, clients returning home early will be required to pay for the reserved amount of time scheduled.

The following dates will carry a $10 per visit surcharge: Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas (Dec. 24th-25th) and New Years (31st-1st)

Cancellation Schedule

Most of my commitments are made weeks, sometimes months in advance. For this reason, it is very
difficult to fill openings that come up at the last moment. Therefore, I ask for the earliest possible
notice to book your pet care, the more time the better, and I have set the following guidelines regarding cancellation:

Pet Sitting and Dog Walking
7 or more days prior to start of service: No charge, refund in full.
2 – 7 days prior to start of service: 50% refund (50% of total payment is due)
24 – 48 hours prior to start of service: 20% refund (80% of total payment is due)
less than 24 hours prior to start of service: No refunds, payment in full is due

 

All Services on Holidays and Holiday Weekends
including Easter Weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, Independence Day, Labor Day weekend,
Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas (Dec. 24th-26th) and New Year (31st-1st)

Household Policies

Lucky Cat & Dog is not responsible for unhealthy plants, water damage or missed plants. I will work hard to follow your instructions but cannot be responsible if the results are less than favorable. Place all indoor plants on a waterproof surface. Please indicate locations of all plants to be watered at time of Introductory meeting. I am not responsible for damage to the home beyond my control - including but not limited to: leaks, electrical problems, acts of nature. In these situations, I will attempt to contact you and your emergency contact before making a subjective decision on dealing with the problem. All repairs and related fees will be paid by the client, or fully reimbursed to me within 14 days. Lucky Cat & Dog is not responsible for damage to property of the client or others unless such damage is caused by negligence. Lucky Cat & Dog agrees to remain insured through PSA liability insurance during each service period. Lucky Cat & Dog accepts no responsibility for loss to the premises if other individuals have access to the home, or if home is not properly secured. At the time that service is booked, client will notify Lucky Cat & Dog of everyone who has access to home during the service period. Lucky Cat & Dog is not liable for loss or damage in the event of a burglary or other crime that should occur. Client agrees to secure home prior to leaving. Lucky Cat & Dog will re-secure the home to client instructions at end of each visit. Keys will either be on my physical person or properly secured in a lock box in my home. Client must have legal rights to place animals in care of a pet sitter. Lucky Cat & Dog cannot service a home with "visiting" pets or animals that do not belong to the client without a signed separate contract. The terms of this contract apply to all the pets owned by the client, including new pets that are obtained after the date this document was signed.
