About Jenny
As a long time Calabasas resident, I have been providing Calabasas, Malibu, the Conejo Valley, the West Valley and surrounding areas with the most reliable, professional, and responsible pet care since 2005. I'm a Pre-Veterinary Sciences student, with an interest in and a love for animals great and small. I am familiar with many common ailments and issues of domestic pets. When not studying Veterinary Science, my hobbies are hiking, surfing, running, gardening, traveling and painting. I can even paint a commissioned watercolor portrait of your pet, just ask! Licensed and discreet, I will provide your pets the loving care they deserve while you're away. Your babies will receive lots of exercise, love, and individual attention! - What I Do...
- I provide pet care in your home, along with basic vacation security and a variety of house sitting duties. I will come to your home as needed -- see below, under SERVICES. Even if you are not leaving home, there may be instances where I can be of service. Unusual working hours, injuries or lengthy illnesses may make it difficult to give your pet the level of care they deserve. When those times arise, I'm ready to provide assistance.
- A Very Lucky Pet!
- I give personal attention to each of your pets, and I personally will be your pet sitter - as I don't hire employees. I am fully insured through Pet Sitters Associates, LLC. This insurance includes the aspects of pet sitting usually covered by bonding - it is better than bonding! Being a Pre-Veterinary student, your pet's complete well being is most important to me! Please call or e-mail me for pricing, and include your location, number and type of pets and what service you think you'll need. I will either call or e-mail you within 24 hours with a response.
- How to Arrange Service...
- After you contact me, we will schedule a FREE "meet & greet" visit to your home (up to 30 minutes) so I can meet you and your pets, get detailed information about their care and that of your home, get a veterinary release signature in case of emergency, pick up a door key, complete a service agreement and collect payment. During this visit, you decide how often you want me to visit, and what services you want performed. Below are the most popular services, but If you do not see what you are looking for below, please ask, I can almost always accommodate your needs.
- SERVICES:
- If you don't see what you need here, just ask! Chances are I can tailor a service for you!
- VACATION CARE ♥ $25 per visit ♥ 45 minutes
- Best for vacations or extended periods away from home -- available any day of the week, for up to 4 pets.
Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years holiday visits (including day before the holiday and day after the holiday) are $10 extra per visit.
Lots of affection and tender loving care, playtime, food and fresh water daily, grooming/brushing, a 30 minute walk and/or exercise of your choice, clean up of messes in the house, administration of any needed medications, vitamins, Sub-Q fluids, and arranging for medical treatment in case of injury or illness.
- DOGS:
- Your exercise choice: walk, run, play fetch, let him into the yard -- however you prefer! I will play with him, provide affection, positive attention and brush him if desired. I will make sure he is fed according to schedule, and has plenty of fresh water daily. I will also scoop up and dispose of any waste/pet messes.
- CATS:
- Plenty of play or cuddle time. If kitty is shy, I can reassure and talk to her for as long as she can stand me! I always bring fresh catnip (with your approval) and an assortment of fun cat toys with me, chances are we will find at least one toy she wants to chase and wear herself out! Your cat will also get fresh water, fed according to our arranged schedule, brushed/groomed, and her litter box will be cleaned daily, including adding fresh litter when needed, and waste disposed daily.
- HOME:
- I will bring in your mail and newspapers, adjust drapes/lights & water plants, take care of any other minor household tasks as needed - such as adding chlorine to the pool, bringing trash to curb on trash day and putting cans away.
I will leave a note to let you know how everything went. I can also follow up the day after you return with a phone call.
- MID-DAY DAILY CARE SPECIAL ♥ $20 per visit ♥ 30 minutes
- Available Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. only
If your dog or pet needs regular walks or care during the day while you are at work, then this might be for you. These are REGULAR, DAILY, scheduled 30 min. (average) visits that will occur sometime between 11AM and 3PM each Monday through Friday. Your dog or pet will be fed, given fresh water, lots of attention, and will get a 20 minute walk, play in a fenced yard, or have playtime in the house -- whatever you prefer.
Minimum for this DISCOUNTED service is 3 days per week, for at least 3 weeks in a row.
- DOG WALKS ♥ $25 per walk and up
- Available any time/day of the week! ♥ Up to 3 dogs
This service is for you if perhaps you are going to be working late one evening, are going to be too busy to walk your dog, if you are ill or not feeling up to exercising, or just plain unable to walk your dog at any time or day of the week! I have dog walks to suit every pet owner and pet personality! If you don't see what you need here, just ask! Undivided attention for your dogs ONLY, no group walks! I will provide lots of affection and positive behavior guidance. I will give your dog fresh cool water after each walk.
- Basic Walk ♥ $25 per walk ♥ 30 minutes
We will go for a brisk walk around your neighborhood, with plenty of stops for relief, sniffing and investigating.
- Doggie Hiking ♥ $40 per hour ♥ 1 hour of hiking time (I do not charge for transport time)
I will provide safe transport for your pet to the nearest safe, dog-friendly hiking trails, for a leashed hour-long (or more) hike. At conclusion of our hike, I will provide fresh cool water and I will examine and remove any ticks, burrs or fox tails. (it is also recommended that YOU examine your dog upon his return, as well) - 1 hour hiking time, minimum. Longer hikes available at $40 per hour, please contact me to discuss.
- Doggie Running ♥ $30 per run ♥ 30 minutes of running time (I do not charge for transport time)
I will provide safe transport for your pet to the nearest even graded dirt trail or paved path. We will jog together, at an approximately 5 mile an hour pace, with stops for relief, sniffing and I will provide lots of cool water after our run. This option is best for athletic and high energy breeds. If you desire a longer run, please contact me to discuss.
- OVERNIGHT VISITS ♥ $75 per night
- Includes overnight pet sitting (10:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.) & 1 night walk & 1 morning walk.
I provide care for your pets in your home, and keep them company during the night. This is a good choice if you have an special needs, infirm or senile pet, a puppy, or a dog that is overly anxious about being left alone for extended periods. INCLUDED: 20 minute morning and night walks, feeding and water, and all services in VACATION CARE. (Client must have guest room/spare room or sofa bed)
- DOG PARK TRIPS ♥ $25 and up ♥ 1 hour minimum
- Includes transport, play and supervision.
Well socialized dogs only -- I will take your dog to the local dog park for interaction and play with other dogs! If you desire a longer time, or have any specific needs, please contact me to discuss.
- CHAUFFEUR SERVICE ♥ $25 per one-way trip*
- Pet Transport
I will shuttle you dog to and/or from your specified location. Examples: Pick-up from a visit with family member or friend; pick up or drop off at kennel; etc.
- Groomer/Veterinarian
Since these are usually your pet's least favorite appointments, why not stay in your pet's good graces and leave the dirty work to someone else? I will safely transport your pet, wait for them to be finished with their appointment, and then transport them home.
*For distances greater than 10 miles, an additional charge will apply.

- Timing of Visits: A window of time is guaranteed for each appointment, but I am unable to accommodate specific time requests for any visits.
- Fees & Payment: Final quote of fees will be determined at the meet & greet appointment. Payment due at beginning of service -- checks, cash and PayPal accepted. Check/cash will not be deposited until service is complete. You may either pay me before service begins or leave a check/cash for me in your home. Invoices/receipts provided upon request. Returned checks will incur a $25 service charge. PayPal payments please add 4% to total -- this is what PayPal charges me to use their service.
- Key Return: Key will be kept in my lock box until your next service -- alternately, the key can be hidden in discreet agreed-upon location on your property, mailed to you via USPS for $2, or I will drop it off at your house for $5.
- Cancellation Policy: Most of my commitments are made weeks, sometimes months in advance. For this reason, it is usually very difficult to fill openings that come up at the last moment. Therefore, I have set the following guidelines regarding security deposits and cancellation of reservations.
- • Cancellations 8 or more days prior to start of service: No charge, refund in full
- • Cancellations between 2 and 7 days prior: 50% of service total is due (50% refund)
- • Cancellations 48 hours or less prior: Payment in full is charged (no refunds)
- • For reservations made for a holiday or holiday weekend: Payment in full is charged (no refunds)
- Security Deposits: In order to reserve services for durations of 7 days or longer, a 20% non refundable deposit will be required at the time the reservation is made.
All other cancellation policies will remain in effect.
- Booking Service: Please contact me as far in advance as possible -- 2 weeks is advised, although i can often accommodate short notice needs.
- Distance Mileage Surcharge: If you live within 1-10 miles of zip code 91302 there is no charge, within 10-15 miles = $3 extra charge, 15-30 miles = $5 extra charge.
- Consultation Fee: The initial consultation is free. Any additional consultations are $10.00 each.
